Retro fashion fans will love this Irish collaboration

Irish brands Electronic Sheep and Edge Only have collaborated to create a unique cassette tape pendant perfect for retro fashion fans.

Pretty much everyone whose style I admire has an Electronic Sheep scarf. I don’t know why I haven’t got one; I guess I’ve just identified a void in my wardrobe that needs to be filled this autumn… I do own a pair of Edge Only earrings, which I love and probably wear too often, and I have my eye on the brand’s signature lightening bolt studs for the new season.

When I got news that these two incredibly popular Irish brands had decided to collaborate on a single piece to mark Electronic Sheep’s 21st anniversary, I thought it was definitely worth checking out. And in keeping with both brands’ penchant for delivering pieces that have originality and meaning, the pair have created a pendant in the form of a cassette tape (welcome back 1990s) to mark the occasion.

The three-dimensional cassette tape pendant in hallmarked sterling silver or 18 karat gold vermeil signifies the designers’ mutual connection to music. The design was hand-drawn and features original details such as the original tape counter window.

The “A side” of the tape is blank, so that you can have it engraved if you like, while the B side reads Electronic Sheep x Edge Only Mixed Tape, and because both brands support sustainable design, the pendant was ethically made in Ireland and hallmarked in Dublin Castle.

The pendant starts from €249 and is available from September 16.
