Flashy silk lamé, ribbons of iridescent yarn and glimmering charmeuse are fabrics typically reserved for after-dark occasions. Incidentally, the trend report is in and designers have given way to casual daytime opulence adding a new take on everyday attire. Balmain, Chanel, Lanvin and D&G reign supreme this spring, with rails donned in heavy metal and fluid shine. Slick statement pieces in the form of ultra-modern box blazers, shimmering pleated skirts and glossy detailed accessories are all objects of desire this season.

Presuming our days will be streaming with rays of sunshine from here on in, we’re excited to see how light reflection will capture the essence of these materials and how we wow with shine using oil slick garments.
