Make Me A Mermaid

By IMAGE
27th Apr 2014

It ain’t sandal weather just yet. While we’re bookmarking and seeing how many packed lunches can help us afford the perfect strappy pair, there is still a case to be made for some pretty inter-seasonal flats.

Our love for & Other Stories knows no hyperlinkable bounds so we’re singing and dancing about these silver-blue fish-scale ballet flats. We’re indulging our Little Mermaid dreams before Sofia Coppola directs the new movie – read about that upcoming adventure here – and find the subtle ‘wave cut’ captivating.

When looking for flat-spiration we tend to turn to usual suspects Zooey Deschanel and Alexa Chung. In fact we have a secret folder on the workplace desktop that is just about every outfit the Deschanel wears in hit FOX sitcom New Girl. If you’re looking for more monochrome and safe hues think Audrey Hepburn and her hepcat turn in Funny Face.
