Katy Perry: The Face of Moschino

Katy Perry: The Face of Moschino

Katy Perry

Katy Perry has ditched the lollipops and candy coloured accoutrements in favour of something altogether more glitzy: Moschino. The now pixie-haired popstar has been named as their latest face and if lots and lots of gold is your thing, you’ll be impressed.

A little like an addition to Run DMC, here she is, dripping in chunky, ghetto-style chains (and belts), complete with gilded crop top, black pencil skirt and a patchwork denim jacket. Though written down, that sounds pretty nasty, somehow, it works.

This collaboration on their latest campaign comes as no surprise, given that Perry is already good friends with designer Jeremy Scott. As per The Cut, Scott recalls that Perry came to him long before she became the mega superstar she is today, saying that he was her favourite designer and that her dream would be to wear his creations. She?”came to me before she even had her first album and told me I was her favorite designer, and she hoped one day I would make her costumes.”

Be careful what you wish for!

Katy shared the?news of this sartorial collaboration on Instagram, much to the delight of her 21 million plus followers.
