Continuing in the seemingly?uniform fashion with famous fashion partnerships, Kate Moss is next in line to infuse her free-and-easy manifestation with French label Equipment for their Spring Summer 16 collection. Teaming up with her long-time friend and supermodel Daria Werbowy, the brunette beauties perfectly exemplify the epitome of relaxed femme-chic. Naturally, Moss was the perfect candidate for collaboration with Equipment.
If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it
Speaking to Vogue Magazine, Moss said how she added her own tone into the timeless designs, without entirely reinventing the wheel:
?I’m a tomboy, really; I was always stealing Jamie’s Equipment shirts. They’re just easy to wear, to pull on as a cover-up or whatever. The Equipment people brought the shirts, and I reshaped them a bit and talked about the prints and how the pockets should be.? I like to talk about them, touch the fabric, see what feels right. I wanted the lightning bolt print’very Bowie?and the stars and the anchors?, she said
The collection explores femininity and union between bodies; which is elucidated through the lookbook which displays lots of interaction between Moss and Werbowy. Moss also shot a video teaser in her home which features the alluring Susie Cave, where care-free Moss floats radiantly through her country home (furnished with an entertainment room with shimmering red curtains and lights surrounding a stage).
The imminent launch of her capsule collection will take place this Wednesday, but the supermodel has already planned her next collection with Equipment:
?We’ve got a lot more next season. I was looking in a secondhand shop in Brazil and found all these €70s shirts. It’s going to be really colorful for spring!?
First designed by Christian Reston in 1977, Equipment designs ready-to-wear collections inspired by characteristic menswear (you know how you love ?borrowing? your partner’s shirt’s? There’s a brand for that) that are elegant, sexy, and straightforward. The brand relaunched in 2010 under the creative direction of Serge Azria who solely focused on reimagining luxury shirts for modern women.
