How To Keep It In The Family According To Ellie Wintour

The pressure must feel colossal for her but Ellie Wintour – niece to fashion and publishing mogul?Anna Wintour – is taking it all in her stride, so far.?Although she’s only appeared a handful of times in the public eye – at high-brow luncheons and in the front row of some of the most sought after fashion shows with aunt Wintour and cousin Bee Shaffer by her side – we don’t really know much about her. This month, however, the 21-year-old, who is a second-year student at York University where she studies English literature, has graced the cover of Tatler USA; and we’re in love.

Regardless of her blue blood (the Wintour’s are practically considered as royalty), this young beauty is determined to work hard and is following in her family’s traditional route of journalism. Ellie’s grandfather Charles Wintour (Anna’s father) was a famous newspaper editor?and her father is also a well-respected journalist, and not to mention she has the best mentor in the world right now, so there’s every chance she could one day follow in her aunt’s famous footsteps. But I can’t help but be a cynic: does she really deserve a prestigious spot on the cover of a magazine that has previously been graced by Madonna and the Princessa Diana of Wales? (who is dead 19 years today). She’s certainly proved that fashion runs deep in her veins, but what kind of impact will she make on the world? We’ll have to wait and see.
