Five fabulously chic street style outfits you can replicate from the high street for a steal

Five fabulously chic street style outfits you can replicate from the high street for a steal

There’s no place quite like each of the fashion capitals to find inspiration for your new-season wardrobe. The fashion back may be decked out in Balenciaga and Burberry, but there’s no reason why you can’t look luxe on a budget. Here are five fabulous street style outfits and where to buy them at a less than pocket-pinching price.

What better way to mark the start of the new season than with a statement coat? And it doesn’t get more statement than this animal-print, single-breasted overcoat. I love the mix of colours within this outfit; burgundy, regal purple, ochre and a pop of white for freshness. This is a super-sophisticated and super-cool look.

Snap up this gorgeous lookalike coat at topshop.com.

Pretty yellow pleats and a tough utilitarian biker jacker is the perfect example of boy-meets-girl style. There are so many points of interest in this outfit, from the asymmetric hemline of the skirt and sweetheart toe shape of the boots to the purple zips on the biker jacket. It’s beautifully unique and shows a real talent for putting unlikely pieces together successfully.

This exquisite lemon skirt from topshop.com will make the perfect anchor piece for a reimagining of the above outfit.

Charcoal grey is probably my favourite neutral for winter. It’s so much softer than black and not as blunt as navy so it can provide an easier base palette against which to pull together an outfit. This cute baker boy hat finishes off the look with real panache.

I buy far more cardigans than sweaters in autumn, as I like their versatility. This gorgeous textured wool cardigan from Uniqlo is a great price. I’ll wear it as above, over a black polo and pleated skirt.

If you’ve managed to avoid the side stripe trend so far, then this outfit will have you rushing into stores in an athleisure frenzy. It’s smart, but laid-back, effortlessly cool, and wearable whatever the occasion. Of course it’s the side stripe that really gives this look it’s edge. Pairing sports-inspired pants with a tailored pinstripe shirt and preppy sweater makes for a fresh and modern look.

Pick up these gorgeous pants from Zara and create your own ensemble. They have pockets (essential for that languid, slouchy look) and a tapered, cropped leg, which is easier to wear and more practical if you’re running here and there during the day, rather than simply posing for the camera.

A metallic parka? Why not. This maritime-style outfit is given a fabulous pop of individuality and freshness with the addition of a metallic gold parka. Rainwear doesn’t have to be boring. In fact, it can be the star of your outfit.

I love this version from online retailer uterque.com. It will definitely add a point of difference to your wardrobe.
