Carrie Bradshaw’s Best Fashion WOW Moments From SATC

I remember seeing it for the first time and being in awe: a young Carrie Bradshaw – undisputed queen of the Big Apple – strolling through the streets of the city in a white tutu and heels during the opening credits to HBO’s six-season-stint of Sex And The City.?I was – like millions of women before and after me – completely spellbound by this woman and her trusty female entourage. The style, poise, grace, and confidence that they radiated lead generations of women to believe that they too could take on the world, one shoe and tulle skirt at a time.

Bradshaw’s popularity skyrocketed along with her style; which went from moderately trendy to iconic almost overnight it seemed.

The iconic Bradshaw tutu has inspired?generations of women and designers, and even put Manolo Blahnik on the map. But according to the show’s costume designer Patricia Field, who recently discussed the infamous skirt, it didn’t cost an arm and a leg. In fact, it cost a total of $5 and was found lying in a showroom bin. And little did we know how much we needed a nameplate necklace before Carrie (was there anything more upsetting than when she lost hers?!). We grew a deep love for wireless and dainty bras and t-shirt combos, and, of course, we still yearn for a shoe collection that could match the stature of hers.

ICYMI: The Cost Of Carrie Bradshaw’s Iconic Tutu Skirt Is Strangely Surprising

In honour of the iconic series’ 19th anniversary, we look back on it’s leading ladies’ best ever fashion-fuelled moments.
