Why You Should Buy A Crossbody Bag

Why You Should Buy A Crossbody Bag

They’ve been on trend for the past couple of seasons, but for me, a crossbody bag is a classic accessory that will subtly elevate your style status year in year out. The best fashion is functional too, and a crossbody bag leaves you completely hands-free to juggle, everything from kids to coffees. No doubt you know that?handling a hot take-out?coffee (or tea in my case) and?paying for it with a card while on your mobile?phone is made just that little bit easier without an oversized tote hanging off your elbow. I like a strong utilitarian vibe to my outfits, so a simple satchel-style crossbody works best for me, but there are neater, more elegant styles if you favour a more feminine look. Here are some of the most chic styles around now.

I love the understated style of this bag. The earthy green shade is beautifully autumnal, the stitching detail adds a high-fashion appeal?and the simple oversized buckle looks modern and sophisticated.

Small contrasting bag, €99.95 at Massimo Dutti

The two-tone grey of this Mint Velvet bag, plus the mix of textures, are lovely design details. I like that it’s less structured than a lot of crossbody bags, as this can help soften a sharper’silhouette.

Silver grey Madison bag, €149 at Mint Velvet

This bag from & Other Stories is a classic satchel style in a gorgeous retro shade of tan. It will work with almost anything and will also distress beautifully. You may well love it more in a few years time as it gently wears and ages.

Saddle stitch shoulder bag, €155 at & Other Stories

This gorgeous shade of maize looks so luxurious, especially in tactile suede and with the added gold hardware detailing. It will add real punctuation to your look and suggest an inherent confidence in your own sense of style.

Leather bag with metallic wold detail, €49.95 at Zara
