Smart Casual is IMAGE’s first fashion podcast, in collaboration with Kildare Village. In our bi-weekly chats, we examine why we wear the clothes we do and deal with personal style in a way that speaks to you.

There’s a lot of things that make us proud about our fashion podcast Smart Casual — the great guests, the expert opinions, the dos and don’t’s of personal style — but most of all, it’s our down to earth hosts. You know a podcast is a great listen when it feels like you’re right there in the room, having the fashion chats with Marie, Édaein and Sarah. And this month, we want to bring that experience to life for our listeners, with a very special live episode of Smart Casual at Venue 35 in Dublin.

The theme is ageless style, and all that it entails — we always hear about the importance of ‘dressing for your age’ but what does that really mean? Does your personal style change as you get older, or can you always retain your own sense of fashion? Does the fashion industry do enough to cater to women of all ages? And how can we make the fashion world more inclusive for women at every stage of their life?

As always, we have some amazing names lined up to take to the stage with our hosts — we are so excited to welcome mature model Mary Dunne and influencer Sandra Wilson to Smart Casual this month.

Mary Dunne

Mature model Mary Dunne is an ambassador for women wanting to make a fresh start at any age. After years as an air hostess and Dior make-up artist, Mary gained a diploma in fashion styling from the Condé Nast College of Fashion last year, and began using Instagram to buoy her newfound sense of style and fashion insight. At 61, she was signed to a modelling agency, and has been working non-stop on campaigns with women of all ages in mind, including her recent project at Kildare Village.

Sandra Wilson

Being mother to one of Ireland’s favourite fashion lovers Vogue Williams means that Sandra Wilson has always been privy to the goings on of the Irish fashion scene. But last year, when Vogue posted a photo of Sandra and her outfit on her own Instagram, and it exploded in popularity, Sandra knew she had to create her own style presence. Focusing on giving women of all ages ideas on how to style outfits and look your best every day, Sandra is setting the trends from her own corner of Instagram.
