5 pieces from Uterque every trend-aware woman will be wearing come September

5 pieces from Uterque every trend-aware woman will be wearing come September

Uterque has AW19 down to a tee. Here are five pieces every woman will want for the new season.

Some brands hit the mark immediately with their first autumn/winter drop. For me, online retailer Uterque is one of them. Without shouting about new-season trends, its collection subtly embraces them and so feels fresh and on-point, but never over-the-top. Uterque is for women who are trend aware but not slaves to fashion.

Here are five pieces I’m keen to snap up before September hits.

Ladylike style, but with a rock chic attitude is a strong trend for autumn/winter. Pussybow blouses are the perfect way to buy into this look because they are traditionally prim and proper, but they can be styled in a much more free and subversive fashion. Wear yours with a pair of leather trousers if you really want to rock this look.

This leather overshirt will be such a versatile piece come the cold weather as it can be worn as a shirt or jacket and is an easy piece to layer (I love three-quarter-length sleeves as they allow you to showcase whatever lovely knit you’re wearing beneath). Of course leather is always popular in winter, but this season there is a strong emphasis on this tactile fabric and you’ll see it coming through in the guise of dresses, skirt, jackets and shorts.

Checks are a big story for autumn/winter and I love the freshness of this gorgeous shade of green. If you’re going to tap into a trend that you feel a lot of women will buy into, invest in a piece that has some point of difference, be it an unusual colourway or interesting silhouette.

Check double-breasted coat, €279

Feathers are the ultimate on-trend finish for AW19. This pretty camisole top is a lovely way to embrace the trend. It’s subtle, sexy and very wearable; pair it with a polo neck or T-shirt for day and wear it with a blazer for evening.

Top with feather trim, €89

What a cool way to interpret this season’s love of leather? This silver leather jacket comes in a refined silhouette and will look incredible over anything from skirts to jeans.
