Fashion Director Marie Kelly gives us five gorgeous and simply dresses to lust after; whether you’re going to a special occasion or a night out with friends.
I love to layer,?but every now and then I find a piece that stands so beautifully on its own, it needs no help from me. Here are five gorgeous minimalist dresses from the new collections.
This gorgeous’midi dress with cut-out back is exquisite in its simplicity. I also like that it’s a smokier shade of black, rather than completely matte. It’s so feminine without being at all fussy.
Open back dress, €59 at & Other Stories
This terracotta knit dress uses graphic lines to add interest and depth to the most pared-back of silhouettes. This would look terrific worn over a shirt and with heels.
Technical knit dress, €89 at Cos
So cool but chic too, I love this sweatshirt dress. I fear this shade of pastel pink?would look dreadful with my skin tone, but if it comes in another colour I’ll snap it up.
Pastel sweatshirt dress, Adidas Originals, €60 at topshop.com
I’ve had my eye on this dress for a while now. The simple tie wrap gives it a point of difference, which’makes it feel very?unique, yet it doesn’t complicate the simplicity of the silhouette.
Tie wrap knitted jumper, €109 at finerylondon.com
The suede texture is what makes this dress stand out from the multitude of slip dresses in stores, and the pockets, which give it a lovely boyish edge.
