3 new beauty products to help you create everyday mindful moments

3 new beauty products to help you create everyday mindful moments

Make small moments of mindfulness in your daily routine with these three products.

The HeadSpace app, I find, kind of loses it’s shut-your-mind-off abilities when you’re using it on a rammed, jangling train while other people breathe into your face.

Carving out a moment to “make time for yourself” inside a normal, busy life of emails and meetings and notifications and deadlines is pretty impossible (can I call making myself a cup of tea self-care?) but shoving a moment of mindfulness into an everyday moment is my current strategy.

Here are three that make me shut off, take stock, chill out and imagine a life where I am as zen as the HeadSpace man…

Dermalogica Conditioning Body Wash, €32.50

Having now used each product in the Dermalogica Body Collection, I can assure you that each one is like having a tiny meditation. If this is not self-care then I do not know what is. If “washing off the day” is your thing, this is how it’s done – the eucalyptus and lavender in the Conditioning Body Wash instantly makes you release tension in your whole body. Massage the Phyto Replenish Body Oil, €57, in at night to soothe, calm and nourish the skin and the soul. Slough off your dead skin and your bad mood with the Thermafoliant Body Scrub, €47.50, with an energizing scent that’ll really wake you up in the morning, and calm yourself and watch your stress dissipate with the lavender and patchouli-scented Body Cream, €35. Showers will never be the same.

Neom Organics Ultimate Calm Face Oil, €50

A calming blend of baobab oil, pomegranate seed oil, evening primrose, acai, rosehip oil, broccoli seed oil, grapeseed oil and calming lavender, geranium and rose essential oils will leave your skin soft and glowy and your mind ready to wind down and drift off.

Fearne Cotton Not To Be Missed Mist Collection, €13

Calm yourself with the new range of beauty and lifestyle products from Fearne Cotton at Boots anywhere you go.  Designed to combat stress, encourage deep sleep and kick-start energy levels, keep this selection of mists at your desk, beside your bed or in your car for a tiny mindful moment throughout the day, with notes of vanilla, jasmine, lavender, chamomile, lemon and bergamot.

When I’m feeling the 3pm sluggish slump at work I spritz Energise to revive me and give me a boost, when my sleep is rubbish I douse my pillow in the Sleep mist to help me wind down and when the commute fury gets too much, I take a whiff of Calm to slow me down. Check out the full range of Fearne Cotton Happy Place lifestyle products, including socks, candles, colouring books and bodycare at Boots.
