Five things we are excited for at this year’s Business of Beauty Awards

In just four days, the best of the beauty industry will descend on the Clayton Hotel for a night of celebration, recognition and plenty of fun.

The IMAGE Business of Beauty Awards 2019 is nearly here.

We are currently knee deep in preparation for the event and barely have a moment to breathe. However, we think it’s important to take a step back every once in a while to look forward.

We couldn’t be more excited for Sunday night and here are our top five reasons why.

The social media

Some of last year’s social media moments were absolute dingers. From toilet conversations to Tinder matches, there was a lot going on — and our social media team were there for all of it with their ears pricked and fingers ready to tap. We cannot wait to see what happens this year.

The beauty

As it is the Business of Beauty Awards, it goes without saying that the beauty looks will be nothing short of incredible. With some of Ireland’s top make-up artists and beauty experts attending, we want to see highlighter, bright lipsticks and hairstyles to die for.

The fashion

And it’s not just the beauty looks we want to see; we know the fashion is going to be good too. We are hoping for sparkles and gowns bigger than our future. Because if you can’t go all out on the night of Business of Beauty, when can you? Here’s a look at some of last year’s looks.

The party

The awards ceremony and its afterparty are legendary and for good reason. From the very beginning to end, guests are on their feet. The food is delicious and the drinks even more so. It’s a night to let those curls hang loose and have fun. We just wish every Sunday night could be the same. Take a look below at one of last year’s best moments.

We also sat down and chatted with our host Darren Kennedy (who takes the reigns once with again with co-host Melanie Morris) about his experience as a host and what he is most excited for at this year’s awards.

The winners

It’s easy to forget the reason why we are there. And that is to discover who the winners are of each category as voted by you. In our eyes, everyone is a winner. Their hard work and dedication deserve to be recognised and celebrated and each and every one of the nominees deserves their nominations. It’s a night to reflect on achievements and enjoy some bubbles while we’re at it.

We sat down and chatted with Keilidh Cashel, the winner of the last year’s Best Beauty Influencer category to find out about her experience.

Can you tell we’re excited?

Stay tuned to image.ie and all our social channels over the weekend for full coverage of this year’s awards.
