My first Fenty: The products that converted me to Rihanna’s beauty range

My first Fenty: The products that converted me to Rihanna’s beauty range

Fenty Beauty is relatively new to Ireland, but it’s become one of my go-to brands. Here are the products that made me a Riri devotee…

It’s fairly unusual for a celebrity to bring out a legitimately excellent make-up range. Aside from make-up artists and influencers, you could probably count on one hand the genuinely good celeb make-up ranges, in spite of there being hundreds brought out.

So when Rihanna’s eponymous Fenty Beauty arrived into Harvey Nichols two years ago, I was straight in to check out what’s good.

Match made in heaven

For the longest time, I had been looking for the perfect contour shade, and found it in the genius Match Stix selection – the amber shade is the perfect neutral shading colour. Not orangey, no flecks of highlight, just shadow for the face which is exactly what was needed.

From there, I tried what is apparently Ri-ri’s favourite – the Gloss Bomb lip luminizer. It goes on top of most of my lip products and never fails to get people asking me where it’s from.

And lastly, most recently, the Pro’Filtr Hydrating foundation. While I wasn’t mad about the original foundation launch, I found it oxidised quite powerfully and left me too dark. But the hydrating version I am very much into – it leaves a glow, it lasts and doesn’t dry my skin.

The best of Fenty
