Chanel’s Christmas Rouge Noir Absolument Collection Is Divine

Dear Santa, this Christmas we would like all of the Chanel Christmas collection, please and thank you.

There are few brands that can justify their?iconic status?in the market like Chanel. They have many a brilliant product that frequently tops ‘Best Beauty Product Of…’ lists every year, from the eyeliners to the lipsticks, drool-worthy palettes and of course, their nail varnish. One particular shade is so popular 20 years after it was first released that Chanel has dedicated their entire Holiday Christmas 2015 Collection to it. Uma Thurman wore it in 1994’s?Pulp Fiction. Madonna donned the shade in the same year, for her Take a Bow video, and the New York Times described it as the colour that “dominated the imagination of the masses.” It is, of course,?Chanel’s best-selling cult nail varnish, Rouge Noir.

It was first seen during the runway show for the label’s autumn/winter 1994 runway collection, an almost-black nail polish with a hint of red, that instantly had people talking. And once Uma Thurman’s Mia Wallace became the most stylish leading lady of 1994, sales of the varnish sky-rocketed (one bottle was reportedly sold every minute). Cult-status affirmed, the dark, vampy shade has now been applied to a whole range of make-up (just in time for Christmas, naturally), the Rouge Noir Collection and we want it all. The?full collection includes a mascara, eyeliner and an incredible Rouge Noir lipstick, which with its rich, warm dark-berry hues is perfect for vamping up your Christmas party?look.?The collection is available now, but is Limited Edition so if the products tickle your fancy, grab them quick. We’ll take everything.

Here are some stand-out products from the collection and don’t forget to browse our gallery above.
