Beauty inspo to scroll through to keep yourself distracted

Beauty inspo to scroll through to keep yourself distracted

Beauty inspo might just be the best thing social media has to offer at the moment, with Covid-19 information infiltrating every phone in the country. Here’s some light relief to scroll through…

It’s hard to know how to exist online this week without constant and scary announcements, government updates and, let’s be honest, a little scaremongering. With that in mind, I’ll say this again: Take your updates, advice and facts from the HSE, WHO and other reputable agencies – the last thing we all need is to start falling for fake news and rumour.

I posted on Instagram earlier that I was unsure how to write about beauty right now, because it feels quite unimportant. But lots of messages flooded in to say that people need distraction. Understandably so. While talking about hair trends, skincare and mascara won’t fix anything, it might take your mind elsewhere for a few minutes of respite from the madness of Covid-19.

Keep scrollin’

With that said, if you are scrolling aimlessly through your day and need some beauty inspo, here are some of my absolute favourite beauty Instagram accounts – some you might have already seen me mention, some that might be new to you. To me, they combine beauty with art in a way that’s always inspiring and incredibly beautiful.
