IMAGE Beauty Awards: This year’s best face masks

The 15th annual IMAGE Beauty Awards supplement lists the best beauty launches of the last year, in partnership with Boots. The awards are independently judged by Ireland’s leading doctors, dermatologists, beauty professionals, make-up artists, hair experts and influencers.

IMAGE contributing editor Melanie Morris says, “I hope we’ve included some familiar favourites here, along with some future heroes you’ll consider valuable new additions to your beauty bag. We’ve also made sure to pick up plenty of insider pro tips from our expert judging panel and have shared the best with you in the IMAGE Beauty Awards supplement.”

Check out the eight winning face masks chosen by Liz Dwyer, journalist and founder of Beauty Bootcamp; Careena and Lorraine Galligan, directors of the Galligan Beauty College; and Trudy Hayes, founder of the Raven Beauty app.

Murad Hydro-Glow Peels, €50

“It’s one of those products you see immediate results with – plumping and firming.”
– Trudy Hayes

Murad, Face Mask

Biologique Recherce Masque Visolastine +, €65

“Brilliant for super dehydrated skin.”
– Trudy Hayes

IMAGE I-Mask Biomolecular Anti-Ageing Radiance Sheet Mask, €11.50

– Trudy Hayes

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Dry Sheet Mask, €24

“I thought this wouldn’t work but it did. It left a serum behind that you can rub in. The masks comes down low on the neck too, but it’s mess-free and good for dry skin.”
– Trudy Hayes

Charlotte Tilbury Sheet Mask

Brilliant Skin Sand & Sky Detoxify and Brighten Purifying Pink Clay Mask, €47

“I felt, if you suffered from a little redness, it really calmed the skin and made the skin glow. For younger skin.”

– Carina Galligan

Sky and Sand mask

Dermalogica Charcoal Rescue Mask, €49.60

“You want to keep the outside of the skin hydrated but keep oil under the surface, so this mask is quite balanced for that.”
– Lorraine Galligan

Charcoal Rescue Mask

Lixir Vitamin C Paste, €39

“Really hydrating for an extra glow in the morning. It has a nice consistency and is easy to apply, and super speedy – it can be used everyday as a nice little perk for the skin.”
– Lorraine Galligan

– Liz Dwyer
