Rowen & Wren

Welcome to Interiors month on IMAGE.ie, here’s what we have in store…

This month, we’re focusing on all things home and interiors, from decorating ideas to showstopping house tours.

As we usher in December, it can feel like one of the most hectic times of year. There are presents to be bought, parties to attend, and a whirlwind of work to wrap up before the year is out.

But while we love the hustle and bustle of the festive season, we also want to remember that December is the perfect time to relish spending time in our own space. Whether that’s gathering our favourite people together, or simply taking a pause from our busy schedules – darker, colder days were made for retreating into your favourite spot.

That’s why this month on IMAGE.ie, we’re focusing on all things interiors, whether you’re looking for tips on making your home feel cosy and seasonal, want recommendations for Irish-made crafts and decorations, or are looking for inspiration from some gorgeous Irish homes. We have what you need to settle in, unwind, and relish spending time at home.

Kerry cottage
This Kerry cottage has been brought back to life, and given a jaw-dropping new addition

We’ll be sharing our own favourite finds, speaking to experts on everything from colours to lighting, helping you get your table ready for festivities, and relishing the joys of staying in.

And there’s already plenty of great pieces to get stuck into. Prepare to be blown away by this Kerry cottage that’s received an otherworldly renovation. While the character of the original building has been preserved and restored, it’s also been given a jaw-dropping modern addition that makes the most of its spectacular views.

A festive peek inside the Wexford home of The Wilds owner, Paula Asple

As always, we’re spotlighting real Irish homes such as this Rathfarnham extension that made the most of an awkward layout, while subscribers can take a peek at Paula Asple’s festive Wexford home – truly the dreamiest space that shows off Paula’s eye for beautiful simplicity.

To get you in the festive spirit, we’ve asked three well-known founders of Irish interiors brands how they decorate their own homes, and it’s full of seasonal inspiration, from table setting to touches for the tree. Plus, we seek out the best Irish-made decorations to add a special touch to your Christmas disaplay.

We asked three interiors mavens about their Christmas decorating style

And if you’re on the lookout for great gifts for the interiors lover in your life (even if that’s yourself), we recommend prints from some of our favourite Irish photographers.

We hope you enjoy the edit,
