This Tipperary log cabin with gorgeously Scandi interiors is on the market for €299,500

It even has a lit-up decking area, complete with mountain views and a fire pit, a perfect sunset watching spot.

Close to the picturesque shores of Lough Derg, and set in an elevated spot popular with walkers, close to the Millenium cross and Graves of the Leinstermen, Boreen, a log-style cabin near Ballina and Killaloe couldn’t have a more perfect location.

Inside, the open-plan layout has been carefully designed, with bespoke joinery making an efficient use of space. There is built-in storage throughout, and clever features such as bench seating around the dining table that can fold up, and a unit that conceals the television.

The main kitchen, living and dining space feels calm and cohesive thanks to the joinery that flows throughout. Sliding doors in this area open out to a covered decking area, perfect for enjoying meals outside, or just taking in the peaceful surroundings.

The two bedrooms are accessed via their own sets of steps, and the bespoke joinery continues in these spaces, forming the beds and adjoining storage. Both beds face out to beautifully calm views of the surrounding landscape.

Sitting on a one-acre plot, the home is in a particularly tranquil location. The land includes a small stream, wooded areas and old stone outbuildings. There is also a decked pathway leading to a fire pit area, adorned with string lighting, giving a wonderful place to spend summer evenings.

The current owners use this home for short-term rentals, however it would also make a peaceful home.
