This four-bed on the west coast of Clare is on the market for €245,000

Bright and roomy, this beautiful home in Co Clare has plenty of outdoor space for little ones to run around in.

Located on the outskirts of the picturesque Carrigaholt Village on the west coast of Co. Clare, this home is the perfect place for families with young children. A four-bed detached dormer bungalow with excellent natural light, you enter the property via a spacious entrance hall with laminated flooring.

The entrance hall leads into the open plan kitchen/living room, where the same laminated flooring is continued throughout. The kitchen area has been fitted with marble-topped cabinets, with another built-in storage area containing the fridge/freezer and oven on one wall. The sitting area has been set up at the bottom of the room where a glass sliding door lets the golden sunshine flood in on a good day. The room also has a small fireplace for warmth on colder days.

A second sitting room can be found just off the kitchen. This room is more private, making it a great spot to unwind with a good book or entertain friends on a Friday night in front of the TV.

A shower room and two bedrooms (one ensuite) complete the ground floor. A flight of cream carpeted stairs leads to the first floor where there is ample light courtesy of a large skylight. This level accommodates two large double bedrooms and a bathroom. The house also has electric heating throughout.

Providing ample off-street parking, there is a generously-sized lawn to the front of the house with another patch of grass to the rear, along with a small paved area that would be perfect for entertaining guests.

Within walking distance of the village, most amenities can be found in the small residential development of Suan na Mara. Carrigaholt itself is a quaint fisherman village on the mouth of the River Shannon on the Loop Head Peninsula. Especially popular during the summer months, the place comes to life as the evenings get longer and local pubs and restaurants are always teeming with people during high season.

This property would make an ideal retirement or family house, or even a luxury holiday home given its proximity to the sea.
