This Valentine’s Day, I’m spending it with someone who’s been by my side since I was 19.

Someone who’s supported me in ways I can’t even put into words. Who funded a cross-country trip to the United States when I was a fresh-eyed 21-year-old. Who enabled far too many nights out and gave me some of my best memories. Who helped me buy my first car.

This someone has dressed me, kept the heat on in my house, and most importantly, fed me.
