Inside this gorgeous Killiney home with sea views on the market for €2.45 million

Secluded at the centre of this very private plot with a manicured garden that frames the view, this Victorian house for sale in Killiney has something very special.

As childhood homes go, we could only have dreamed of growing up in this five-bedroom, three-storey house in Killiney. The lush gardens, sea views and grand nature of the house give it a distinct The Secret Garden feel.

Tucked along a private, tree-lined avenue off Military Road and situated on a 0.4-acre plot,  the Victorian house has much to warrant its €2.45 million price tag. Maintained and restored to a very high standard, this home boasts high ceilings and elegantly proportioned rooms. Up the gravelled, gated drive, the front door leads into a large entrance hall, with a guest bathroom to one side.

From here, you can be lead onto one of the two symmetrical covered terraces on either side of the sitting room, all overlooking the Irish Sea. This room has windows and doors on three walls, with a large bay window that draws in the garden.

Past the central staircase is the kitchen, a bright and airy room with a beautiful grey country kitchen and stove, as well as a casual dining area. There is also a large utility room tucked away.

The lightness of the kitchen comes courtesy of the stunning conservatory, currently used as a more formal dining room. Sheltered by the sloping lawns and with French doors out onto the patio and terrace, it connects all of the outdoor living spaces together.

Upstairs, another large living area is sandwiched by two Italian-style balconies located above the covered terrace. This room could easily be used as a lavish bedroom with its sea views. A large bedroom with its own ensuite, a second bedroom and a family bathroom are also found on this floor.

On the top floor are a further to bedrooms with a shared shower room and the main bedroom, which has an exceptionally scenic balcony overlooking Killiney Bay.

Outside, the gardens are immaculate and with the house centred on the plot, it feels very secluded. Mature trees and beds all frame that gorgeous view.
