IKEA’s upcoming autumn collections have something for everyone

IKEA’s upcoming autumn collections have something for everyone

Interiors revamp, anyone?

New week, new month, new mood boards. We love the idea of upgrading our interiors for the new autumn season, whether it’s a paint job or just some new cushions on the couch, it can make all the difference to the mood of a home. Collecting pieces and colour palettes that complement your personality can be an addictive project, and as the days turn shorter and colder (sorry, but it’s coming), there’s no reason not to dive in.

Our go-to destination for new homewares is, of course, IKEA, and their upcoming autumn collections will have us braving the queues happily. They’ve really covered something for everyone in these pieces, whether it’s a cosy new feel for your sitting room, or upgrading the kids’ rooms as a reward for braving the back-to-school mornings.

Arriving in September is the SAMMANKOPPLA limited collection. IKEA teamed up with Thai fashion designers Greyhound Original to develop the pieces, which blend Bangkok street style with IKEA’s iconic expertise.

The collection is bold, practical, and best of all, takes on a spirit of recycling and upcycling your favourite pieces — the rugs are made from recycled PET bottles.

In October, IKEA’s DEKORERA collection will hit the shelves, bringing a decidedly cosy feel to your surroundings at home. The pieces here are inspired by 17th century Dutch master painters such as Rembrandt and Vermeer — golden light, shadowy corners and a rich colour palette throughout the home.

Splashes of bright colours among cosy textures and finishings make the DEKORERA collection one of our favourites of recent years from IKEA.

And of course, you can’t forget the kids. One of the coolest collections on the horizon is the BYGGLEK Collection in collaboration with the LEGO Group. Storage solutions with a fun and childlike twist, you can now stock up your room with some LEGO brick sets, making tidying up a game to play rather than a chore.

The BYGGLEK collection drops in IKEA stores on October 1.
