Cocktail Club: This citrusy take on a Martini will be your entertaining go-to
Simple yet fresh and crisp, this cocktail is easy to make at home, and is perfect for summer soirées.
We all want to be the perfect host this summer, and that means serving up your guests a cocktail that sets the mood and keeps the conversation flowing.
That’s why we asked world-class Irish mixologist and Diageo Head of Advocacy, Cal Byrne, for his expert recommendations to see you through the months of sun ahead.
Next up in our series is the Tiny Ten Martini, the signature cocktail of beloved gin Tanqueray No. Ten. “The Tiny Ten Martini is glamorous, vibrant and bursting with life,” Cal says.
“Created by our Global Ambassador Jenna Ba, this drink embodies the ethos and flavour of Tanqueray No. Ten Gin. A well-crafted grapefruit cordial highlights the beautiful and unique citrus heart of Tanqueray No. Ten, whilst the addition of sparkling wine allows our gin to shine! A crisp, citrusy and vibrant drink, a perfect accompaniment to any occasion or celebration.”
Cal has also put his stylish eye to good use, pairing an outfit with this cocktail that reflects its spirit. “Tanqueray Ten’s ethos is all about the artisans behind the beautiful things we drink, wear and enjoy,” he explains. “The outfit I chose to wear alongside this cocktail is a representation of some of my favourite creators in the fashion industry.
“Led by this incredible boiler suit by designer Yohji Yamamoto, a Japanese designer working from Tokyo and Paris, considered a master tailor by the fashion world, he is known for his avant-garde tailoring featuring Japanese design aesthetics.
“I am also a huge jewellery fan so have donned a collection of my favourite pieces. A necklace from Vivienne Westwood, the queen of punk takes centre stage, accompanied by a plethora of bracelets and rings by young emerging designers I have discovered on my travels.”
