Colin Farrell won Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series, Anthology Series, or a Motion Picture Made for Television at The Golden Globes 2025 for his role in the DC Comics adaptation The Penguin, his third Golden Globe Award.

On Sunday, January 5, the 82nd Golden Globe Awards was held at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles, with the series Sh?gun and the film Emilia Pérez being the big winners on the night, winning four awards apiece and Colin Farrell receiving his third Golden Globe win. The Irish actor won Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series, Anthology Series, or a Motion Picture Made for Television at the Golden Globes in California for his role in the DC Comics adaptation The Penguin.

Farrell and Ripley’s Irish star Andrew Scott had both been nominated in the category. Colin Farrell thanked Andrew Scott in his speech, who, he said, he did his first film with 25 years ago – Drinking Crude – but that it’s impossible to find now. “You can’t even find it on Betamax,” he said. “It doesn’t exist. But we go back that far.” He joked that he had “no one to thank on this one – I did it all by myself!”

The winners are chosen by 334 entertainment journalists from 85 countries. See all the winners of the 2025 Golden Globes below.
