Change things up with these tasty dinners made with just a few ingredients from the press.
Most restaurants are temporarily shut and paychecks are reduced, which has forced many of us cooking-challenged folk to start making dinners on a regular basis.
And while it’s easy to fall back on frozen pizzas and pre-made lasagnas, our meals can get boring quite quickly.
But not all gourmet meals have to be complicated. Here are eight delicious meals made with just a few ingredients, most of which you probably already have in the press:
Smoked salmon and spinach gratin, BBC Good Food
Ingredients are spinach, butter, double cream and 6 salmon fillets.
Fig caprese salad, Bon Appetit
Ingredients are mozzarella, figs, salt and pepper, olive oil and some basil leaves to serve.
Risotto with bacon and peas, BBC Good Food
Ingredients are an onion, butter, streaky bacon, risotto rice, vegetable stock, frozen peas and grated parmesan to serve.
Brown butter-basted steak, Bon Appetit
Ingredients are one bone-in rib eye steak, salt and pepper, butter, vegetable oil, garlic, and rosemary.
Miso mushroom and tofu noodle soup, BBC Good Food
Ingredients are rapeseed oil, mixed mushrooms, smoked tofu, brown rice miso paste, buckwheat or egg noodles, and spring onions.
Piri-piri chicken pittas, BBC Good Food
Ingredients are chicken breasts, piri-piri sauce, coleslaw and pitta breads.
Baked eggs in portobello mushroom caps, Paleo Spirit
Ingredients are eggs, portobello mushroom caps, slices of prosciutto, pepper, parsley and olive oil.
Garlic-rubbed buttery roast chicken, Bon Appetit
