Win Tickets To A Special Dublin Preview Screening Of I, Tonya

If you haven’t yet heard about this year’s most unconventional biopic, I, Tonya, let us fill you in…

The multiple-Oscar-nominated film centres around the real-life drama that unfolded ahead of the 1994 Winter Olympics, when figure skater Nancy Kerrigan was attacked by a man linked back to rival skater Tonya Harding. A media war ensued and Harding was very much painted the bad girl the figure skating world already considered her to be.

This film, directed by Craig Gillespie with an original screenplay by Steven Rogers, finally tells Tonya Harding’s side of the story – and in a super-brilliant way – supported by the versions told by her ex-husband Jeff Gillooly and estranged mother, LaVona Golden.

Margot Robbie as Tonya Harding in I, Tonya

Margot Robbie stars in this magnificent portrayal of one of America’s wackiest scandals, and the darkly comedic story reflects just how bizarre all the ins and outs of the Kerrigan vs Harding case really were. Whatever you think of Tonya Harding by the end of this film, we can promise you one thing: you will certainly be entertained.

Allison Janney as Harding’s mum, LaVona Golden

Allison Janney won Best Supporting Actress – Motion Picture at this year’s Golden Globes for her hilarious portrayal of Harding’s acid-tongued mother, and Sebastian Stan is brilliant as Jeff Gillooly. As for Margot Robbie? She nailed Tonya, just as Harding nailed that infamous triple axel.

The film doesn’t hit cinemas until February 23, but IMAGE.ie has teamed up with Entertainment One to offer ten readers a pair of tickets each for a special preview screening in Dublin City Centre on Tuesday, February 13 at 6.30pm.

Plus, Wet n Wild make-up will give each guest a special goodie bag on the night.
