The Golden Globes 2017 red carpet was, thankfully, a varied one this year. Skin was definitely in as Mandy Moore wore a?Naeem Khan gown with a plunging neckline. And Kristen Bell (in Jenny Packham) and Emily Ratajowski (in Reem Acra) also showed plenty of decolletages.?Forals?and an obvious?ode to SS17 were also another popular choice, with actress Lily Collins in a blush Zuhair Murad and red carpet host Giuliana Rancic?wearing one of her best award season looks to date in?Rani Zakhem Couture. Shimmer was worn by many as were metallics with Millie Bobbie Brown, Irish Loving star Ruth Negga (in one of the best of the night in Louis Vuitton), Sarah Paulson all sparkling in silver and Amy Adams working a hint of black sparkle in Tom Ford.

But it wasn’t all about the gowns; Jill Soloway, Felicity Huffman, and Evan Rachel Wood all wore trousers, with the Westworld star garnering much praise for her empowering message to the millions of women watching, wearing her custom suit by Altuzarra:?”This is my third nomination, and I’ve been to the Golden Globes six times,” she said. “I’ve worn a dress every single time, and I love dresses. I’m not trying to protest dresses, but I wanted to make sure young girls and women know that it’s not a requirement.”

“You don’t have to wear one if you don’t want to,” she added. “Just be yourself because you’re worth more than that. This year, I’m going homage to Victor Victoria and David Bowie?because it’s his birthday.” Preach.
