The 97th annual Dublin City Liffey swim takes place today, August 6th. Swimmers will endure a gruelling 2,200-meter swim through the iconic river, passing some well-known stops along the way.?The first Liffey Swim took place on 22 July 1920 and has grown significantly since then; with participants as young as 13 and as old as 70.
