Watch: Kim Kardashian: ?I Thought My Career Was Over?

Kim Kardashian

Though she appears to be effortlessly self-confident, reality star Kim Kardashian has fears just like the rest of us when it comes to her career, it seems.

In a new interview, Mrs Kardashian-West said that she thought her career was over following her hugely publicised split from second husband Kris Humphries after just 72 days in 2011.

She was speaking with?Sir Martin Sorrell from media and marketing website, The Drum, and opened up about a number of topics, including the moment she thought her career was over. “When I was going through the divorce I did say to everyone, ‘you guys [her family], I think our careers are over. I hope you’ve saved your money. And now we’ll just continue to do our clothing stores and what we started off doing before the show’. I totally thought it was over.” ?To be fair, even we thought it might be over for her then. She didn’t come off well.

ICYMI: Kim Kardashian To Give Talk On ?Female Objectification?

There’s no denying that Kim is a successful business woman now; she’s used her fame to forge a career in the public eye, and she absolutely knows how to market herself and the Kardashian brand to its maximum potential.

“I was being very paranoid,” she said. “I just took some time off and the time was really good for me. I cancelled everything. I had a book tour, a fragrance launch; I had everything that you could possibly imagine. And I just… I cancelled it all and I took time for me,” she added.

You can watch the full interview below, and it’s quite a good interview. She seems relaxed and open, and comes across as very warm. FYI: she’s not on Snapchat yet. We have to hand it to the woman, she definitely knows what she’s doing.

What do you think of it?
