We all know how amazing Dublin is for hosting events; particularly at this time of year. But, unless you’re up to speed with every social media platform and buzz word, it can be hard to uncover the best ones to get to. From December 4th-18th there will be free showings of family favourites like Big and The Goonies in Temple Bar’s Meeting House Square… bring a blanket and a flask of hot chocolate then sit back & soak up the festive cheer. Attendance is free but advanced booking required.

The National Museum of Ireland Christmas Open Day

Their first ever Christmas Open Day takes place at the museum on Saturday, December 13th from 2pm-5pm. It includes a talk from UCC professor Regina Sexton on the festive foods we love so much, carol singing and much more. Entry is free.
