Actor Ben Stiller led a host of big names down the red carpet at the premiere of Zoolander 2 in?London’s Leicester Square last night. Stiller was joined by cast members Owen Willson, Penelope Cruz and Will Farrell, as well as Game of Thrones actress Natalie Dormer and model Lara Stone.
Stiller paid tribute to the late David Bowie, who passed away just last month,?admitting he would have “loved” the star to appear in Zoolander 2.?Bowie had a cameo role in 2001’s Zoolander as the judge of a fashion “walk off” between male models Derek Zoolander ?(Stiller) and Hansel (Wilson).
“He was a huge influence on so many people, I think on our culture, in the last 40, 50 years – when you go back and look at how long he was making music and how ahead of the curve he always was and always taking chances.?So I think I’m like everyone else – influenced by him in that way,” he told The Mirror.
“And it would have been great to have him in the second one.”
Ben Stiller set out to achieve a new record – for the longest selfie stick.?The star was presented with an official Guinness certificate following the feat, in which he took a snap with a group of assembled celebs using the eight-and-a-half metre long device.
