There’s a reason our recent August cover girl, Emma Stone is one of our favourite female celebrities. She is mega talented, adorably dating Andrew Garfield and using their paparazzi photos to direct attention to charities, has?a wickedly quick comic wit, and has been?extremely open about her struggles with anxiety; all-the-while maintaining that girl-next-door quality about her that makes you think if you had the opportunity you guys could be besties.

And part of that charm is the sartorial missteps she’s had along the way to her current status as one of Hollywood’s best dressed. We’ve all been there -‘shiny fabric, uninspiring prints, over straightened hair, bad pumps that don’t look the price they cost. And then there’s always something involving a belt.?Thankfully now she’s gone full-throttle leading?lady and looks absolutely fiery on our August cover.

Sure, her premiere stints for The House Bunny didn’t exactly set the mean comment sections on fire, but there are some items in that gallery that wouldn’t survive a charity shop. As she moved onwards and upwards (see: Easy A) things took a dramatic turn for Emma. In fact, she started looking amay-zing. There was a lot of flirting with colour – she dyed her hair blonde for a role in The Amazing Spiderman – and her silhouette got sophisticated. That peach gown at the Golden Globes in 2011. That says, ?I’ve arrived, and I may not even talk to you.?

2011 was a very good time for Emma on the red carpet. There are some floor length gowns that have survived the test of time, and as she become more a name she showed her cocktail credentials.
