Celebrity Instagram Spoof Account Is Too Funny

Celebrity Instagram Spoof Account Is Too Funny

If you’re sick of unrealistic, celebrity Instagram posts that do little more than make you feel crap about yourself (so help us God if we see another Beyonce-like ‘I woke up like dis’ picture of a supermodel emerging from her 10,000 thread count bedsheets with a non-hideous hangover, please), this female comedian is on your side. Hailing from down under, Celeste Barber’s Instagram spoof project was one of the best profiles to follow in 2015 as she recreated some of the year’s most popular posts, showing just how ridiculous the lives of the rich and famous can be.

Whatever gets you through ladies. Whatever gets you through. #celestechallenge #jlo @jlo #funny #parenting

“People are so obsessed with celebrities and celebrities seem to be so obsessed with portraying everyday people. I thought, right, if this is what everyone does – challenge accepted.” Barber explains to ABC.

Road trippin!!! Enjoying the wind in my hair. #celestechallengeaccepted #jessicasimpson #funny #roadtrip

?Some celebrities on Instagram seem to think we, non-rich, non-privileged people are idiots and believe that what they are posting is real,? Celeste tells BuzzFeed. ?I wanted to try to show how ridiculous it would be for a ?normal? person to recreate some of these photos.?

Barber is keen to point out that this is merely some lighthearted comedy and commentary, as opposed to the celebrity bashing it may be misconstrued as. ?I’m very pro-woman. I don’t want to be bashing people like Kim K; I actually think ?good on her.? I think she is a smart businesswoman. From hailing a cab like J.Lo to beachside yoga sessions – I want to see if I can live like the privileged, rich and famous.?

We look forward to more from this Aussie wonder.

Im so fucking sexy when I'm tired. #celestechallengeaccepted #funnywomen #kimkardashian #pjs #sleepy #bedtime #sexonlegs
