Adriana Lima bids tearful farewell to Victoria’s Secret after 19 years

Adriana Lima has hung up her angel wings for the last time after walking in her final Victoria’s Secret show.

The Brazillian model has been involved with the world-famous lingerie brand since 1999, but now at the age of 37, she has decided to call it quits.

Adriana appeared tearful during her final walk, which took place at Pier 94 in New York City. Wearing embellished blue underwear, a sheer metallic top, feathered heels by Brian Atwood, and a set of feathers on her back, she held her hands to her chest and thanked the crowd.

Later last night, Adriana took to Instagram to say, “Dear Victoria, thank you for showing me the world, sharing your secrets, and most importantly not just giving me wings but teaching me to fly.

“All the love to the best fans in the world! Love, Adriana,” the post concludes.

The mother-of-two is Victoria’s Secret longest-serving angel, having only missed one fashion show while pregnant with her second daughter in 2009. Her retirement from the brand means she can spend more time with her family, as well as pursuing new projects.

Speaking to People, she said, “I’m looking forward to supporting women and being connected to different projects which support women around the world.”
