Complete with bed and breakfast and your choice of spa treatment or equestrian activity, this is your chance to win an incredible escape to Monaghan for you and a guest.

There are few things in life more restorative than a night or two spent in the most luxurious of accommodations. Arriving, bags in tow, secure in the knowledge that you won’t be leaving the grounds until check out time, with dinner, drinks, spa, activities and a bountiful breakfast all on site. Castle Leslie Estate in Glaslough, Monaghan has it all in abundance.

Set on 1,000 acres of undulating Irish countryside, dotted with ancient woodland and glittering lakes, Castle Leslie Estate is one of the last great Irish Castle estates still in the hands of its founding family. Since the 1660s the distinguished and somewhat individual Leslie family have lived on the Estate. They have welcomed everyone from politicians to poets, ambassadors to ufologists to world renowned celebrities.

With a history spanning over 300 years, it offers visitors a chance to stay somewhere rich in authenticity. The Estate is an unspoiled, nature-Led sanctuary that feels untouched and restorative — a rare quality in a fast-paced, screen-heavy world. Autumn is a perfect season to spotlight this, leaning into the sensory beauty of crisp walks, misty mornings, and seasonal flavours.

An hour from Belfast and just over an hour from Dublin, Castle Leslie Estate’s accommodation offering includes The Castle, The Old Stable Mews, and The Lodge, where our lucky winner will be residing. Located at the entrance to the Estate, The Lodge is the bridge between the Estate and the village, bringing as it does, locals and guests together in an atmosphere of conviviality and comfort.

The Lodge, with its 50 bedrooms has been lovingly restored and imaginatively decorated retaining its period features and original character. Buzzing with activity, there’s always something going on at the Lodge. It is adjacent to the Equestrian Centre – ideal for those who wish to explore the grounds on horseback — and houses the organic Victorian Treatment Rooms, which is the perfect place in which to luxuriate.

Each bedroom has been decorated in keeping with the building’s period features and designed with comfort in mind. They are each beautifully furnished and generously proportioned rooms.

Dining options include a more laid back casual atmosphere for lunch or dinner in Conor’s Bar & Lounge, delightful afternoon tea in The Lodge, or gourmet dinners in the multi award winning Snaffles Restaurant. And because they know that relaxation is everything when you’re on a special escape, breakfast is served until the leisurely time of 11am.

Castle Leslie Estate offers a host of on-site activities, including spa treatments, falconry, fishing, boating, archery, clay target shooting, walking trails, horse drawn carriage rides and horse riding. Far from your everyday luxury destination, the offering here is truly outstanding.

To give one lucky IMAGE reader the treat of all treats, we’re giving away a two-night midweek stay* complete with bed and breakfast in The Lodge at Castle Leslie Estate, and a choice of either a one-hour spa treatment or a one-hour equestrian activity per person.
