SS18 Beauty Trends: Brushed-Up Brows

Brows take on a natural look for SS18, and while it may look simple, a little effort is key.

As we’ve ditched the contour kits for glassy skin in SS18, the same goes for brows. This season’s must-have arch is super-natural.

For extra-fullness, enhanced bushiness and wild and natural arches, brush your brows up.

Fill in any empty spaces with a pencil, pen or powder then use a brow gel in upward strokes for a polished look.

Olivia Foley of Allure Beauty & Spa is a master stylist in HD brows, and assures us that anyone can have brushed-up brows. “For thinner brows, this look will make brows appear fuller and fluffier, and thicker brows will look softer and more natural. Ask your brow stylist to keep your brows as full as possible whilst maintaining a good shape on them. If they are trimming the hair, make sure they don’t trim too much to keep a full, fluffy look whilst brushed up.”

Benefit Browvo! Double Duty Eyebrow Primer €30.50

According to Katie Tiernan, National Brow Artist for Benefit Cosmetics, if you need little help with growing your brows, try Browvo!,  €30.50. It’s a conditioning formula that contains keratin and soy proteins and will help your bulk up your sparse brows and make them look thicker, healthier and fuller. To add depth to your brushed up brows, define them lightly.  Katie recommends, “an ultra-fine eyebrow pencil, for natural-looking, hair-like strokes. A few strokes of blendable colour will transform brows from shapeless and undefined to natural, defined eyebrows.”
