The event was in aid of Their Lives Matter, a charity caring for children with cancer in Tanzania.

On Saturday 11 November, the Harvest Moon Ball took place in the stunning surrounds of Killruddery House & Gardens in aid of Their Lives Matter.

This incredible charity cares for children with cancer in Tanzania in various ways including providing every Tanzanian child in need with free chemotherapy. Fundraising events such as this go a long way to helping TLM as it works with the Tanzanian health system to provide the national children’s cancer service and improve the outcomes for children with cancer.

In the last 10 years, the number of children seen by TLM has tripled, number of partner hospitals have increased from 2 to 15 and survival rates from all childhood cancers have increased from 30 to over 50%.

If you would like to help, please consider becoming a GEM donor (Give Every Month). To find out more about the charity, visit their website.

Those in attendance on the night included Dr Ann Hickey, Dr Ellen Crushell, Dr Eleanor Molloy, Lindsay Bond O’Neill, Dr Trish Scanlon (CEO), and Dr Tim O’Neill.
