The star-studded ball was hosted at The Galmont Hotel, in aid of renowned jockey Graham Lee.

On Saturday 3 August, The Galmont Hotel became the epicentre of glamour and philanthropy as it played host to the Galway Races Summer Festival Ball. The event, held in aid of renowned jockey Graham Lee, drew a distinguished crowd, including some of the most notable figures in the horse racing industry.

The evening was a spectacular success, featuring a blend of entertainment, fine dining, and heartfelt tributes. Guests were welcomed by the charming Master of Ceremonies duo, Gráinne Seoige and Brian Gleeson, who guided the night with grace and wit. Attendees were treated to a gourmet dinner and lively musical performances, creating an atmosphere of celebration and goodwill.

Among the distinguished guests were Graham Lee’s family, who were warmly embraced by the community. The event also saw the presence of legendary jockey Sir AP McCoy, accomplished riders Patrick Mullins and Rachael Blackmore, as well as esteemed trainers Ado McGuiness and Peter and Ber Fahey. The evening was further graced by Suzanne Eade, CEO of Horse Racing Ireland, reflecting the strong support from the industry’s leadership.

A key highlight of the evening was a charity auction, where attendees bid on exclusive items and experiences, with all proceeds directed to supporting Graham Lee. The generosity of the guests was overwhelming, underscoring the deep respect and affection for Lee within the racing community.
