HSE suffers IT glitch that leaves data of more than one million people vulnerable to hackers
The HSE suffered an IT glitch that weakened security around the vaccination details of more than one million people, the agency has admitted. The organisation “misconfigured” a Covid-related database in December of 2021, a spokesperson said, opening the details of more than a million people up to potential exploitation. In a statement, the health body said no personal data was accessed by hackers or malicious parties. However, it did not report the issue to the Data Protection Commissioner (DPC), which was made aware of the data lapse this week by the Irish Independent and is now examining the issue.

Results were also coming in from Mississippi, Washington state, the Northern Mariana Islands and democrats living abroad.

Fish typically found in our coastal waters may disappear permanently due to rising sea temperatures, a new report has warned. Fair Seas, an umbrella organisation for a range of environmental groups, has commissioned a new report to identify areas of Ireland’s marine environment that have the best chance of preserving ocean species and habitats in the future. It said that all Irish inshore waters will be under pressure from climate change in the decades ahead but that possible solutions can be identified now that may help protect our seas for future generations.
