“Never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life." — Dolly Parton

In business, there are so many resources at our disposal, but truthfully, our biggest asset is often ourselves. But just like any powerful tool, good maintenance is essential in order to get the best results.

The whirlwind of modern living sees abundant demands fall on our shoulders, and so, as we face into 2024, the first IMAGE Business Club Live of the year will focus on the very elusive topic of balance, and how we can resource ourselves to be productive, proactive and primed to face life’s highs and lows.

Join us on Wednesday, February 28 for an evening of insights and upskilling, as we hear from three women on how to get out of our own way, reboot, and then plan for a life that’s rewarding, enjoyable and organised.

Our panel for the evening features wellness advocate Carla Piera Fitzgerald, a woman who has harnessed the most powerful elements of self-care to propel herself into a happier place and a rewarding new career; entrepreneur and queen of multi-tasking Ellen Kavanagh, who has decades of experience juggling home, business, profile and family; and author/coach Ciara Conlon, who’ll share practical tips on finally getting organised and productive in all areas of life. The conversations will be moderated by IMAGE’s contributing editor, Melanie Morris.

As always, the evening will start with Malfy Gin and Fever Tree cocktails, and a chance to catch up with your IMAGE Business Club community. There’ll be plenty of opportunities to meet our speakers, plus prizes on the night and a gift bag for everyone on departure.

Tickets are available, exclusively to IMAGE Business Club members on a first-come, first-served basis. Not an IMAGE Business Club member? Join the club for €200 ex.VAT to claim your complimentary ticket!

Schedule

6pm – 7pm: Network over Malfy & Fever-Tree cocktails and canapés

7pm – 8.30pm: An information conversation with our experts

8.30pm – 9pm: Meet the speakers and network further over more Malfy & Fever-Tree cocktails

Gifts and prizes

Each attendee will receive a gift bag including Living Proof No Frizz Intense Moisture Mask and Luna By Lisa Lipgloss.

Plus, each attendee will receive a bonus gift – a 30-Day Tropical Revive Active.

Revive Active, is an Irish award-winning super supplement packed with 26 active ingredients delivered in powdered form that support cellular energy, the immune system, heart health, and a reduction in fatigue.  The premium ingredients in each sachet are at optimum levels to create synergies and deliver a powerful tasty daily drink.

Each attendee will be in with the chance to win a fabulous prize –a €300 voucher for The Collective.

The Collective was established by Madeleine Blaine in 2017, an English-born artist and jeweller who spent many years travelling the globe, learning about her trade. Born from a love of beautiful jewellery, their mission is to empower individuality through their carefully created collection.

Initially a basement store at 24 Drury Street, The Collective has grown exponentially to occupy the whole building with their retail shop on the ground floor and their very popular jewellery-making workshops with their sister company Silver Works on the other three floors. Offering over 40 independent jewellery brands, many Irish designers, and some European counterparts, there really is something for everyone with all of the different materials, styles and gemstones.

Carla Piera FitzGerald, Digital Creator and the Founder of ‘Half Of Carla’

“Showing up for yourself” is the motto that changed everything for Carla Piera FitzGerald. Embracing it facilitated a natural weight loss of over half her body weight (183 lbs in 14 months), a career transition, and most significantly, a transformation in her mental well-being.

Carla’s candidness and willingness to share her path of therapy, self-growth, and trauma recovery solidified her devoted and interactive audience. Through her content, she empowers individuals to embark on their own journeys of self-care, breaking down stigmas surrounding mental health and illustrating a life beyond weight loss. With a focus on self-care, fashion, beauty, and embracing a liberated lifestyle, Carla contributes to reshaping the discourse on health and encourages others to prioritise their own well-being.

Ellen Kavanagh, Founder of Waxperts

Ellen Kavanagh Jones is a beauty entrepreneur who started the Waxperts brand in 2008. From humble beginnings in her waxing-only salon in Dun Laoghaire, Ellen decided to create her own wax to use on her clients, and from there the awards came and the business grew. Ellen is a multi-nominated IMAGE Businesswoman of the Year nominee and IMAGE Business of Beauty Innovator Award Winner.

Waxperts now supplies salons nationwide in the UK and Ireland with all their waxing needs and training requirements. In 2021, having spotted a gap in the home waxing market where no innovation was happening, Ellen launched Heire (pronounced hair) at-home waxing kits. Bringing salon-quality ingredients with easy-to-follow and use wax kits, Heire is available in pharmacies nationwide and in selected Dunnes stores.
