The Best Blanket Scarves To Wrap Up In

The Best Blanket Scarves To Wrap Up In

It’s not just officially winter, it’s officially cold. Commuters are swaddled in padded jackets, blanket scarves?and hats and scarfs. It’s proper wrap-up-warm weather. How to do that stylishly??Invest in a blanket scarf, cashmere if you can afford it. It offers something of the comfort of a duvet day, but without having to stay home. Here are some of my favourites.

Stripes always look chic, and I love the mix of brights along with earthy charcoal here. I also love how it’s styled – a little bohemian but very sophisticated.

Striped scarf, €19.95 at Zara

I think this shade of taupe is so elegant, and with the right skin tone, works beautifully with other neutrals. I’m pale, however, so I would pair this scarf with shades of rich red and burgundy to offer extra warmth. There’s no need for clever styling ideas either, a simple one-shoulder drape looks utterly chic.

Wool foulard with double fringing, €49.95 at Massimo Dutti

This Mint Velvet blanket cape is reversible, which I love as it offers two looks for the price of one. Some women find this cape-style easier to wear than the oversized scarfs above as they drape more easily. They work just as well over coats as over sweaters.

Navy and oatmeal blanket cape, €95 at Mint Velvet

This gorgeous blanket wrap has a lovely fringed finish that adds a gorgeous?hint of texture to the look. I love the depth of colour and the simplicity of the styling here. Perfect for a non-duvet duvet day!

Houndstooth check poncho, €150 at Maje
