Why Lindsay Lohan Is Back On Our Fashion Radar

Why Lindsay Lohan Is Back On Our Fashion Radar

Sartorially, personally and professionally, Lindsay Lohan has had a checkered past. But if the above shot of her at Cannes last week is anything to go by, she’s certainly got her wardrobe in order, putting herself firmly back on the fashion landscape. This slightly sixties-style two-piece looks utterly fresh and modern. It showcases her perfect pins and her gorgeous freckled skin beautifully. But the high neckline and flared cut of the top keep enough hidden to create the perfect balance between conceal and reveal. If this was a bodycon dress, it wouldn’t work. I love the graphic print. It references the modish style of the sixties, and the two raspberry red vertical panels elongate her silhouette. The studded shoes feel very contemporary, and they keep the retro references in check – a platform sandal could have made the whole outfit feel a little costumy.

If you like this look, here are some other cool ways to wear stripes this summer.

Understated, chic and versatile, this is a great summer buy for anyone who likes to keep it simple in the mornings. It needs nothing other than a trainer or flat shoe to look cool.

I’m a huge fan of longline cardigans. They add a sophistication to anything from jeans to a mini skirt. This version from online retailer Uterque will work in any season.

The fringing adds a touch of boho chic to this Bimba Y Lola skirt, but the asymmetric hemline and fitted midi style elevate it to something much more versatile. Worn with heels or smart flats, this striped skirt could be worn to?the office.
