Fashion Quick-Fire With Joana de Noronha

With experience working for Diane von Furstenberg and Heidi Klein under her belt, Joana de Noronha is now making her way to the frontline of fashion with the new dress line Borgo De Nor, who she founded with work partner Carmen Borgonovo. Here, she answers the Image quick-fire questions with Olivia Keating.


How would you describe your signature style? 

Modern classic with a penchant for the odd printed pant. For night, I love a statement piece.

How does your wardrobe evolve as we move into summer? 

More colour, print and dresses.

The item on your SS17 wish list? And why?

A Borgo de Nor dress because it’s exactly what I want to wear day or night in the summer.

How do you approach dressing for work in the heat? 

Light, breezy pieces in cottons and silks.

For denim, J Brand. J. Crew for basics and light cashmere, Isabel Marant for knits and tops, Gucci and Erdem for something special, and Marte Frisnes Jewellery for everyday.

They are the new generation with a clear aesthetic. They have a new, fresh and interesting perspective.

Flats because I’m tall.
