This revolutionary skincare range reverses visible signs of skin damage

We sit down with beauty expert Pamela King to discuss the latest developments to the popular No7 Future Renew Damage Reversal range.

When it comes to beauty, Pamela King has seen it (and tried it) all. With over a decade of experience in the industry, she is No7 Beauty’s regional business manager and a self-proclaimed “magpie” for the next “shiny object” on the market.

“I’ve worked in the beauty and skincare industry for almost 10 years. I’ve always been passionate about skincare from an early age as it was very much part of my mother’s daily routine. We loved finding great reviews of products and trying them out.”

The No7 Future Renew Damage Reversal range launched last April and has since become a staple in Pamela’s skincare regime. Here, she takes us through the popular skincare range, which is aptly named as it reverses visible signs of skin damage. It doesn’t stop there as No7 has an exciting new addition – No7 Future Renew Damage Protection Defence Shield SPF50.

Who is the No7 Future Renew Damage Reversal range designed for?

It is designed to reduce visible signs of skin damage which include the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, uneven tone and texture, dryness and the feeling of lost elasticity. These signs can start to appear in our late 20s.

What are the range’s hero ingredients?

Our world-first peptide technology, Pepticology, was developed over 15 years of research with the University of Manchester to support the skin’s own natural production of collagen and elastin. No7 Future Renew Damage Reversal Serum also contains hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, vitamin C and antioxidants.

Do you have a favourite product in the range and why?

Definitely! Our No7 Future Renew Damage Reversal Serum. I love the lightweight consistency, how easily it absorbs into the skin and, most of all, the results.

The Future Renew Damage Reversal Serum is clinically proven to reverse visible signs of sun damage. Why is this such a big claim in the industry?

Following the successful launch of Future Renew last year, No7 continued testing the formulations. The serum has proven to be better than originally thought! It contains a world-first super peptide blend and with continuous use, it is clinically proven to reduce visible signs of sun damage*, the biggest single cause of skin ageing.

Is sun damage a major cause of skin damage?

Yes; in fact, it is the cause of up to 80% of skin damage. A high proportion of damage occurs with unexpected exposure to the sun when sun protection products are not always used. I learned at our No7 Conference that 40% of sun damage occurs during the months of October to April when many people might not think of applying SPF.

What are some typical signs of sun damage on the skin?

A lack of sun protection can lead to visible signs of skin damage, such as the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin tone and texture, and dryness.

How does the serum reverse the visible signs of sun damage?

The No7 Future Renew Damage Reversal Serum is applied after cleansing the skin but before moisturising. It contains a world-first peptide technology, Pepticology, and includes key ingredients – hyaluronic acid, vitamin C and niacinamide, which support the skin’s natural self-repair process.

Hyaluronic acid addresses dryness concerns by binding moisture and aiding the skin to retain water; niacinamide supports the skin’s natural barrier protection; and the antioxidant complex helps brighten the skin giving it radiance.

Let’s talk SPF. Why is it such a vital part of everyone’s daily skincare routine?

Sunlight is the number one cause of skin damage, so I want to ensure that my skin has everyday protection from UV sunlight. Prevention and protection of skin damage is ultimately the aim of my skincare routine.

What are the benefits of the No7 Future Renew Damage Protection Defence Shield SPF50?

This SPF50 has filtering UV protection, age-defying peptide technology – Matrixyl 3000 plus to aid skin’s natural repair process – and sodium hyaluronate – a derivative of hyaluronic acid so skin feels plump and hydrated.

When should you apply it in your morning routine?

SPF should be applied every day after serum and moisturiser and under any make-up. It sits perfectly under make-up as it is lightweight and hydrating, and does not leave any white cast on the skin.

How much should you apply in one sitting?

Using two fingers worth of product for each application will ensure enough to cover the full face for maximum SPF protection.
