Oversized blazers that nail the 90s-era Julia Roberts aesthetic

Tailoring is all the rage these days – from cropped vests to wide-leg pants and the perennially classic button-up blazer. This season it’s all about oversized silhouettes inspired by the strong-shouldered look of the 80s and 90s. 

Back then, stars like Julia Roberts (our forever fashion icon) heralded the look, now it’s celebrities like Elsa Hosk and Hailey Bieber that we turn to for style-spiration. Once considered a stagnant piece of officewear, oversized blazers are no longer worn exclusively to work events and you can find them in myriad patterns, colourways and cuts.

The key to styling? Play around with proportions – if you’re going oversized on top, keep it sleek on your bottom half to balance things out.
