Often using her Instagram to document her weekly work outfits, Melissa McDonnell is fond of dressing up even when working from home. Here she shares a week in her wardrobe.
MONDAY
I had a busy day in the office today. In the evening I came home and changed into this outfit. The top is from Zara, my jeans are from the Walk in Wardrobe, my bag is Chanel and the loafers are my beige scamosciata shoes from Scarosso. I headed out for a walk and then ended up having dinner in the city centre in a cute little restaurant. I love neutral, effortless outfits like this.
TUESDAY
I kicked off Tuesday by going for a 5km run in one of my favourite parks in Belfast. Then my boyfriend and I headed down to our friend’s apartment to celebrate his birthday. I wore a white racer vest from Reiss, champagne satin trousers from Zara, my Adidas sambas, and my oversized brown biker jacket. I did a recent collaboration with Primark and this is one of the pieces I selected. It is also one of the most worn pieces in my wardrobe.
WEDNESDAY
I was working from home today so I wore an all-black outfit from Adanola to be comfortable. My twin sister, our friend and I then headed to Dublin after work to House Dublin for a Pretty Little Thing event. I wore this beige button-up corset top and beige wide-leg trousers from the brand, paired with clear-heeled mules to keep it simple and clean.
THURSDAY
I went to a photoshoot with my eldest sister Louise and afterward, she treated me to dinner at the Ivy in Dublin. I wore a striped midi dress, the same beige loafers from Scarosso, and a cream knit jumper from NA-KD over my shoulders.
FRIDAY
I kickstarted Friday off with a little workout. I was working from home for the days so during lunch, I took a little walk into town. Today I am wearing my white tailored shorts from Zara, a beige bodysuit from Get That Trend, classic 90 trainers from Axel Arigato, and a cream blazer from Primark. My accessories are my favourite sunglasses from Everything But Him and my cream tote bag is from Goyard.
SATURDAY
The sun came out for the weekend so I opted for my white tank vest from Loewe, a light blue overshirt from H&M and cream linen shorts from Superdry (I added a black belt from Zara). My black sandals are from Primark – they’re similar to the Hermès Oran sandals, but are a fraction of the price. I love put-together, yet effortless looks like this.
SUNDAY
I didn’t know what to wear today and I had dinner booked in Holywood in one of my favourite restaurants. When in doubt… my advice would be to wear something classic and black. I remember seeing Kendall Jenner wearing a black crop top, black jeans and loafers with black sunglasses so I put my own version together. My jeans are from Dr Denim, my top is from Stradivarius, the loafers are from COS. For accessories, I grabbed my Coach bag and ASOS sunglasses to complete the look.
