Ingrid Hoey: A week in my wardrobe

Ingrid Hoey: A week in my wardrobe

by Ingrid Hoey
24th Oct 2022

One of Ireland’s best-known editorial, TV and personal stylists, Ingrid Hoey has a keen eye for fashion and a knack for finding great designer buys at vintage shops. Recently launching her own jewellery line in collaboration with MoMuse, Ingrid has been busier than ever as of late. Here she shares a week in her wardrobe.

SATURDAY

On Saturday, I headed to Paris with L’Oréal Paris for the Le Defile show. When travelling I only bring hand luggage where possible. I wore this beautiful coat by The Landskein, a luxury Irish brand that specialises in outerwear, and paired it with trousers and a t-shirt from Cos and my Prada loafers. Layering is a great tip for travelling.

SUNDAY

On Sunday we had the L’Oréal Paris show Le Defile, which was held in an army barracks in Paris. The premise of the show was all about about empowering women so the setting was quite apt. The show was outside so I wore a Totême top and trousers and a vintage YSL men’s jacket I found in a vintage shop in Paris. I wore my trusty Dior heels in black patent leather which go with everything and a Prada bag.

MONDAY

We had a beautiful dinner in L’Avenue the best place for people-watching in Paris. Florence Pugh was there and Bella Hadid had just left before we arrived! I wore a black dress by Preen and another vintage YSL jacket I picked up in Designer Revival in New York when we visited in February. It’s on the upper east side and has the best pre-loved pieces – a must-visit if you are in NY. I wore my Dior shoes once again, paired with a black Prada Bag.

TUESDAY

We had some time to explore Paris today. We did some vintage shopping, went for a gorgeous lunch and just rambled around soaking up the atmosphere. Comfort was my main priority. I wore cream trousers by NAKd fashion, a top by Musier Paris, Adidas Samba trainers and my Prada bag. The oversized black jacket is from the Pernille Teisbaek edit for Mango, which I got last year and have worn to death.

WEDNESDAY

Back home in Dublin. I had meetings in town today. I love a good dress, this one is from Cos a few years ago. It’s a navy pleated midi dress. I wore it with a leather belt by &Other Stories to give it some structure on my waist. My navy pinstriped wool coat is by Musier Paris, my boots are by &Other Stories and I have my trusty YSL black bag with me too. A perfect simple outfit for meetings.

THURSDAY

This was such an exciting day for me. It was launch day for a jewellery line I created with my friend Margaret O’Rourke from MoMuse jewellery. It’s a fine jewellery collection with 9kt and 18kt gold pieces. It’s called the Synergy  Collection and is inspired by our friendship. Pieces include earrings, necklaces, rings and bracelets. It’s available in-store at MoMuse in The Powerscourt Townhouse and online at momuse.ie. I wore a black velvet dress by Rixo to the launch. I adore their pieces. This one has a gorgeous feather detail on the neckline. I popped my hardest-working Dior shoes on once again.

FRIDAY

We popped out for dinner with friends this evening so I wore this Missoni two-piece, paired with a bag I got in the Missoni boutique in Kildare Village. They have some great pieces in-store,  including homeware. I love popping down to Kildare Village to find some treasures, they have so many new boutique openings – it’s definitely worth a visit. I wore my blush Prada platforms that sit perfectly with a flared trouser.

The Synergy Collection – available to shop online now – is a fine jewellery range designed by Ingrid Hoey in collaboration with MoMuse. Celebrating friendship in all its forms, the collection features nine different pieces composed of 9kt yellow gold, 18kt yellow gold and natural diamonds.
