Forget the old adage about women having’more pairs of shoes than hot dinners. My sartorial addiction is not fancy footwear, but unassuming T-shirts – I have simple tastes. The perfect T-shirt?is loose-fitting but not sloppy, it sits just below the hip and is tactile to the touch (fabric quality is key!). When you find this ideal tee, it’s worth paying extra for as it will yield you years (yes years, as opposed to the’single’season a cheaper option will probably only survive for) of stylish pleasure. Chic and endlessly versatile, a great T-shirt styled correctly will take you from the boardroom to the bar, and look equally appropriate in both. Here are three?of the best brands from which to buy T-shirts.
T by Alexander Wang has a sports luxe aesthetic, so it’s a great label for good quality casual wear. I love the classic design of this top, with its small breast pocket.

For me, online retailer Finery London offers the best T-shirts at the best price. This super soft T-shirt, which comes in several colours, feels so good to wear, and washes brilliantly. I have one in every colour!

Acne Studios is known for its high-quality basics as well as it’s fashion forward ready-to-wear designs. Their tees are pricey, but it’s worth keeping an eye on this label now that the sales have started. That’s when I swoop in and pick up a couple of bargains.
